Membership of the Society

We have a large (140 members) and enthusiastic membership. Membership is open to all and the membership annual fee is £15 (by standing order).

The Society has amassed a considerable library of pamphlets, learned papers and books covering most subjects relating to the history of Llantrisant and its environs. The items in the library are available, free of charge, to all members. Anyone wishing to borrow from the library should contact Geraldine Rogers during one of our meetings.

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our much respected vice-president,
Dr Glyn Johns who passed away on 28 September 2024.

Glyn was a very active member of our society and wrote several papers and lectured on various topics of historical interest. He also initiated the "Profiles" project whereby members were encouraged to research a topic of interest and give a short talk on it.

He will be greatly missed by all of his friends within our Society and beyond.

Details of his funeral will be announced in due course.
