Membership of the Society

We have a large (140 members) and enthusiastic membership. Membership is open to all and the membership annual fee is £15 (by standing order).

The Society has amassed a considerable library of pamphlets, learned papers and books covering most subjects relating to the history of Llantrisant and its environs. The items in the library are available, free of charge, to all members. Anyone wishing to borrow from the library should contact Geraldine Rogers during one of our meetings.

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our much respected president, J. Barry Davies who passed away on 27 May 2024.

Barry was a founding member of our Society and, over many years, has produced a prodigious volume of work on the history of South Wales. His knowledge of the district of Meisgyn and Glynrhondda is unsurpassed.

He will be greatly missed by all of his friends within our Society and beyond.
